Welcome, friends, and happy Valentine’s Day! I’m so excited that you’ve stopped by. I hope you feel at home around here and that you’ll visit often. I want this to be a place of education, encouragement and inspiration, so feel free to ask questions or let me know what’s been on your mind.
So, to kick off this love-fest right, I want to start by introducing you to my lovely and insanely talented Branding & Web Designer, Lindsay of Writefully Simple. Without her endless patience, guidance and straight up skills, this not-so-little dream of mine would not be a reality. Go give her some love – she deserves it.
When I first met with Lindsay, I went in knowing the big picture I wanted for M&G, but no idea how to get from point A to point B. Sure, I knew the various facets of branding and design, but this project felt a little too big and scary to tackle – this was my dream, after all. I don’t know about you, but I find it really difficult to articulate big dreams eloquently. They’re personal and heartfelt; you feel vulnerable and maybe even a little bit protective. But, here’s the thing about Lindsay: she got it. She got me. From the minute I started explaining my end goals, she took it and ran with it. I gave her room to breathe and create, and let me tell you – it was the best thing I could have ever done for my brand. Friends, I can’t say it enough, trust your designer. They are more than qualified, you’ve already chosen them for the job, and they do their best work when you let them do just that: go to work. What Lindsay was able to create was more than I ever could have envisioned for myself. Isn’t it funny how that works out? I see it with my own wedding designs all the time. When you’re so enveloped in something, it can be difficult to think outside the box and to stretch your imagination. But, when you let an expert come in, take those dreams, do the work, and make them a reality, magic happens.
Mood Board
Lindsay and I worked together to create the perfect mood board, which was the visual direction and inspiration for the overall brand. It helps to align individual design elements to tell a bigger story; everything in the branding process comes back to this original board to ensure consistency and cohesiveness.

Branding Guide
What resulted from that original mood board? Well, in my opinion, the most beautiful brand and website a gal like me could ask for. I mean, just look at those branding elements! Oh, and you see that little magnolia leaf? That was created specifically for my brand by my dear friend Megan of Art by Megan. It will always a hold a special place in my heart for that very reason!

Tell me, what do you think of the brand and website? Can you feel the love radiating from it? I can’t wait to serve so many beautiful people with this company, and I hope you’ll stick around for the ride.
with love & grace,
M.
